Friday 9th April – Monty

Posted in Uncategorized by scottishdogs on April 9, 2010

Met Monty this morning and had a good run with him.  Monty is a Springy Springer Spaniel who walks early with his grandad and is so clever he can open the gate to the childrens’ play area to chase ‘too comfortable’ squirrels up trees.  Monty loves balls and hates returning them so Alan (his grandad) brings two, one to fetch and one to give.  Mum and Alan like to gossip about people they have met in the park but they couldn’t talk much this morning because they were sucking boiled sweets (which Alan brought) so we had quite a peaceful time!

Saw the man on his bike again, he does circuits of the park for his heart and mum is always relieved when she sees him but I don’t know why.  All he does is cycle round and round and tease mum when Bonny gets in his way

No sign of  FOX today but we are still keeping up border patrols, just in case.

Mum wants me to tell you that there lots of amazing videos on YouTube of  Scottish Terriers doing funny things.  Some (not ours, unfortunately) are really professional with soundtracks.  I promise if you watch these videos, you will see why we are so great!  Scotties are a soft and gentle bunch, but curiosity leads us astray!

If you would like to read more about Hector and Bonny check out our web site at scottishdogs.co.uk.

    Hello,

Have you thought of writing childrens story books? because i think you’d be very good at it.
I was just reading your blog to a collegue of mine who has 4 year old twins and she said that you would be brilliant at it too.

Hi Becky (and colleague) and thank you for saying I could write for children. I have in fact written a book called “Hector’s First Year” which has been sitting on my shelf for some time.

I am writing this blog with children in mind, and hope your colleague’s twins will read it too!

It is very encouraging to have something like this said to an aspiring auther like me

We just saw you over on our friend Stuart’s blog and thought we’d come by and say hi – we Scotties have to stick together.

Hi there Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Ruairi
Sooo pleased to make new friends. Have been over to your site and I have to say it is the most professional site I have seen. I am just a wee scottie and I have not been doing it for very long, but I can tell your parents know a thing or two about web design and blogging!!

Do keep dropping by, I think you are cute!

      Love and total admiration

  3. We just love going out and meeting other dogs. We meet up with lots of dog friends on our morning walks.

Hope that fox didn’t get into your garden while you were away. They’re sneaky.
