Freaky Friday

Posted in American Bull dog,Derby,Hector's Diary,Moore Lane,Osmaston Park,Scotti Dog Blog by scottishdogs on April 30, 2010

She is nervous today and it shows.  I am doing my best but until she gets the verdict on her play Castle in the Sky (which has been sent out to Derby Theatre Groups) she is totally on edge.  Have tried the usual, you know, sitting on her feet, letting her stroke my soft downy ears (that usually does the trick) have even let her comb my hair.  It is no good, she is a nervous wreck; keeps checking her e-mails, and sighing – even had a go at the Tarot;  patience is a virtue they say.

Meanwhile, Bonny and I have learned a new trick.  We can sing.  At least I think that is what it is.  First I start, with a quiet “aroo” and then she (Bonny this time) chirps in with a high “yip”  and it escalates from there.  Before long we are making a tuneful racket – it is fun and we like it.

Have given up poetry for now…

Have a good Friday!

That YIP…..that’s my ‘put the fear of the flashy jaws of death’ into Puffy the Ancient sound. He’s kinda deaf…or very selective in his hearing, but when I make the high pitched YIP, he gets all trembly and runs n hides behind HER leggies. Ole skeerdie cat(dog). Of ocurse, if he doesn’t move out of my way after the YIP, he gets a dose of serious bitey face. The kind that results in him going SQQUUEEEE SQQUEEEE and blood on the floor. Yer Bonny might be singing you a love song though. So watch for a few love bites to follow along.

    Aroooooo-YIP to you!

Poor Puffy. I think he needs some of Bonny’s luvvin’ – if she did any – that is. Mostly she sleeps and I (Hector) have been walking on egg shells lately on account of that “grin of death” she “smiles” at me before her ambush. Can’t say life is dull.

Hope your human has calmed down by now. Good of you to make yourself available as a doggie tranquilizer. Bonny and Bella sound similar. Bella has a high-pitched yip she uses when she thinks we should be playing with her. Can’t sleep through that. And you know the bite is coming soon anyway. I usually get up rumble with her for a while.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

The human, is hoovering, dusting and goodness knows what else. She has even cast a glance at the ironing pile… And the reason? Her human mum is coming to stay. Is it a visit or an inspection? Not sure. But we could do with some peace…
