Thursday’s Special

Posted in Derby,Eating,Hector's Diary,Scotti Dog Blog,Scottish Terriers by scottishdogs on May 27, 2010

Thursdays can be a little exciting in our house.  My human cooks interesting things and the carpet is hoovered in readiness.  The event?  It’s my human’s daughter, Clare (who does not like dogs!!!) day off and she comes for lunch.  Today she (my human) is cooking Cauliflower Cheese with Broccoli.  Fall out (i.e. food dropped) can be good value when she cooks.  So Bonny and I lie at her feet (wherever she is standing) and wait.  Yesterday she dropped some mange tout and although there first to eat them, I spat them out.  How can they like the stuff?  But grated cheese has a magical way of spilling and first there gets most.  So, ready steady cook!!

Button has learned that FOF means food on floor. With day-care kids here there are always crumbs, cereal and the like. Concocted the phase myself and the 2 year olds learn to say it quickly. And they learn that grapes, raisins and chocolate are really harmful for her.

I think Hector and Bonny would love it at your house Peggy. Dogs make great hoovers!

If it hits the floor, it’s ours. Kendra is always underfoot and has to be told to get out all the time. Bella and I sit back and wait for the main chance. Luckily, if one gets something the others will get a little bit, too.

How can Claire NOT like scotties?

      Hi Kendra, Daisy and Bella

Our human has two daughters, Clare and Rebecca and one son John. All grown up! For some strange reason (and I never will understand why) the girls (both) are not dog fans. John shares the love with mum for all animals (especially we Scotties). Strange or what?!?!?!
