Rainy Day (The Second…)

Posted in Derby,Granny,Hector's Diary,Scotti Dog Blog,Scottish Terriers by scottishdogs on June 9, 2010

Well it is coming down in sheets today and here we are stuck inside as she wants to keep her feet dry.  So far I have claimed gran’s chair and watched with interest as she climbed rickety objects to change gran’s curtains.  They are buzzing today, my humans, as John the human son (who loves dogs) is coming home.  Preparations are in hand as:  the small bedroom which mum turned into a study is now being made ready for John.  You see, Gran has adopted his room as her own (despite War Hammer Posters/Nacked lady calendar!!! and West Bromwich Football Club flag ) as she needs the space (for Galloper the Zimmer).

I love John coming home, this is when I get snoodles and coodles on his bed and extra nutritional benefits as he is great at leaving left-over food on the floor.  John (who says he does not mind about room exchange as he is moving out in July) will  liven up lives around here considerably.  Oh, and guess what, Bonny will be especially happy, as she has always loved John in particular and I am glad for her as there will be plenty of human love to go around.  Roo Roo Aroo!  *

*To coin Stuart’s lovely phrase.  Roo Roo Stu!

*Or it may be Downunder Daisy who created the term.  Either way, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

Such sweet pictures on the chairs. A question, what is the weight of you Scotties? Our vet just mentions a number which we hopefully keep in range. It’s harder with company and extra treats.

      Hi there Peggy

I know how worrying our dogs health can be. Hector weighs in at 10.5 kg and is considered just right (a little under but he is fussy). Bonny, our real greedy girl is 10.5 kg and I have been warned by the vet to keep her active and not give her treats.

That said, visitors love giving my dogs treats but they are young and very active so it does not matter yet. Given time I may have to reduce their intake.

How does this compare with your’s Peggy?

      Regards

      Hector’s mum

:Hector–another male for you in the house! How exciting. I know you’ll make him welcome AND we’re glad you’re going to share him with Bonny. Looks like some fun times ahead…..even if it’s raining.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

PeeS: The Aroo roo credit must go to Stuart.

PeePeeS: We’re like Bonny and have to watch our pudginess.

Ah so the Roo Aroo is Stuart’s then… only it has become part of our language (dog) part of our vocabulary.

      Regards

Miss Button is right on the money with Bonnie and her weight. And her favorite treats are mini carrots and apple slices. Thanks for answering back.

Carrots sound healthy to me. Would love to see your Bonnie, do you have a blog? Or can you send a pic?

      Regards
      Hector and gang.
