An Open Door

Posted in Derby,Hector's Diary,Scotti Dog Blog,Scottish Terriers by scottishdogs on June 15, 2010

Today has been warm, busy and blissy.  The sun shone and she left back door open so we could pop in and out at will.  Bonny dug a hole and sat inside it, while I shouted at noisy people in the street.  Then we trotted in to find she had visitors and  biscuits on table,  sat salivating for a while until lure of grass and space overwhelmed us and Bonny returned to digging and I to guarding.  Utter bliss.  Roll in Summer.

That’s a wonderful day! Did you get a bicky in the end?

We always have the back door open. It’s our job to keep everyone away. And we are awesome when we start shouting at people….well, truthfully Kendra and Bella are. I’d like to invite everyone in for a party.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

You know, it is true, a Scottie earns their keep by protecting the homestead. Nothing gets past us! We shout “Intruder” even at people we know…

So nice to be able to enjoy the weather and not melt

True, in England we can usually enjoy weather without melting, although is the word “enjoy” and English Weather an appropriate phrase. Hmmm I think not. We can get raibn/sun/winds/hail and so on all in one afternoon!!!

Ah…they never leave anything open for me. Dratted. Just cuz I bolted several times and tend to jump through the door screens. SHE is a bit annoyed about the screens this week. They just repaired the screens last week on the back porch and some doggie jumped through from the outside in. Not me. I was in the house sleepin….but 2 other doggies wanted in, so they made a new doggie flap in the screen door. Now I can’t go out on the porch AGAIN…till she either fixes it herself or guilts the Mr. and the Idiot Marine into fixin’ it.

I hope you got to help with the cleanup duties and hoovered up some tasty crumbies.

Ahh, Bonnie. Nice to hear from you we were wondering if you ok. Sounds like elite escapist standard. No fences will hold an EE in.
