My Proud Possession
Twelve days until Bonny has her pups and counting…..
Today weather fresher than it has been for ages, a little undecided about rain but she took us out to Osmaston Park early any way. After showing the lady with two Westies picture of Bonny’s scan my mum met Claudia with Dali and Marne and Adi with Brandy and they sat on bench while we played and mooched in the long grass. Bonny came along for exercise but walked at own pace ( slow) and lay in shade when we stopped. Often when I find treasure on park I forget to bring it home but today found half a cob which I remembered to carry home and consumed on front lawn before being allowed in front door. That was my proud possession and you know, we Scotties like a varied diet and ‘hunted’ food tastes better. I was not the only one to find treasure, she found three pounds on cycle track so we are both rich today.
Last night Bonny behaved strangely (unsettled, panting, whining occasionally, not eating) and she went into blind panic putting basket of towels, hot water bottle, wet wipes and cotton ‘just in case’. Fortunately Bonny was just hot and not in labour. Human definitely getting whelping pack now. I think she, Claudia and Gran will enjoy playing nurse more if they have the kit any way…. It is their first time too …lol
House peaceful this morning as gran at physio and John (who is on nights) is sleeping upstairs. This is great, as usually my human hoovers and mows lawn when gran is off somewhere but she can’t, because of sleeping John, he he he.
