Cherries

Five days to go until Bonny is due to have her puppies and counting…..  She took Bonny’s temperature tonight and it is 37.9 centigrade (compared to 38.3 yesterday ).  No signs of nesting yet and Bonny still eating greedily and happy to chase a ball.  Babies seem very still this evening – wish they would move around a bit so we knew it all ok.

Mum met Claudia with Dali and Marne today on morning walk and they found a cherry tree with ripe, sweet cherries.  Claudia had eaten some the morning before (and survived) so she ate some too.  They behaved like giggling school girls scrumping apples.  Then they spat stones out (which I thought was rude) and made their way to ‘the bench’ where they chatted in the sun.  Bonny takes ages to catch up but its ok, no one is in a rush.  Some days are like that.

Here, this is a great place for a snooze

  1. We’re checking by to see if there is any baby news yet. The puppies might slow down a bit to get ready to make their appearance. Even with Carrleigh’s nine puppies we never saw much movement – guess they were packed in there so tight they couldn’t wiggle. BOL!!

Phew, thank you for responding so quickly. We are using your blog archives as a sort of reference library, having discovered you are really experienced. We are just over anxious, I guess.

Fresh cherries. Did you get any? We’re happy to see you are resting up for the big event. You are going to have to keep a lid on things when everyone else is a nervous wreck!

    Morning Bonny, Hector and Mom!!
Sounds like your Mom knows how to have fun!!! Nice walks with friends along paths filled with treats.

Oh my the name Marne brought back memories to Mom. Her very best friend as a child was named Marne. Mom said for the 3 years they lived next door to each other they were inseparable. Her Dad was with the FBI they moved a lot. Mom lost track of her.
