Ok, so I am a proud father – but have you seen the state of this place?

There is newspaper all over the floor!

I thought humans read papers?

Now they seem to want to spread them over the floor.

Humans, who’d have ’em!

Ah yes, reminds me of our puppy days (we finally went to puppy pads as they were more, er, absorbant). Thank goodness those days are over for us – but it literally took a FULL 12 months to consistently potty train our shih tzu. What we did is started with several pads, basically literring the floor with them, then every couple of days we would leave one less… until finally we were down to a single pad. Since that worked well, we started moving that single pad (very slowly, maybe half a foot a day) towards the desired location. That worked well too until we got to the door (we wanted her to go thru the doggie door and relieve herself on the pad in the garage)… THAT took several months for her to make the connection between the pad on one side of the door and the other – finally she got it.

So anyways, your photos made me laugh and think back to those (frustrating!) days. Enjoy!! Your dog’s adorable mug makes it all worthwhile though.

  2. I think its the idea of being theirs that they like. They also feel they can pee on them and do what they want and mark there spots

Bonny you are one Queen indeed….7 puppies no wonder you were panting and pacing over the last 7 days. We see Hector being the typical male was READING the paper….Men!!! Too bad he isn’t equipped to help with the feeding. MOL Did I read that correctly 7 boys? Whoa no females?

Your puppies are beautiful. We’ll keep coming by to check them out.

    Hugs and concats!!
