A moment for Derby Pride – Dreamliner

Posted in Derby,Dogs,England,Hector's Diary,Rolls Royce,Scotti Dog Blog,Scottish Terriers by scottishdogs on July 20, 2010

We live in Derby, Midlands UK.  In fact we live in Allenton – a district of Derby – home of Rolls Royce Engines.  They have just developed the engines for the Boeing 787 called the “Dreamliner”.  They flew it over our house today – it was soooo lowww we could even see the pilot.  We are putting a link to the news story here  This is a proud Derby moment. Yay

Yay for Rolls Royce

(But we are still sorry about BP messing up the sea….)

Gosh, that’s really, really neat, Hector! Did you wave at the pilot? Did he wave back?

Oh, and I liked learning that you say “flypast” there. We say “flyover” here.

    Wiggles & Wags,

PeeS. Thank you for being sorry abouts that whole bad BP thing. But we don’t blame you at all. Now, if that Tony Hayward guy ever visits our neighborhood…

That’s exciting. We love those Rolls Royce engines because our human travels a lot and we know she’s safe with them. But she says she doesn’t want to travel on a Dreamliner until the luggage crews at most airports can unload luggage quicker and get luggage carousels big enough to handle one plane!

I don’t think we’ll ever see one because at our airport the BIG planes are 36-seater props!

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
