Friday (Bitey Face Day)

Posted in Derby,Dogs,Hector's Diary,Rules,Scotti Dog Blog,Scottish Terriers by scottishdogs on July 30, 2010

This morning we had the most fantastic walk ever.  We walked all the way into town (Allenton) where lots of lovely peeps stroked our gorgeous heads and smiled at us.  So when we walked back through the park (and were released from our leads) we decided to play Bitey Face Game, cos you grin in that too.  In Case you were wonderin’ how this game is played I thought I would tell yous the rooles!

1:  The are No Rules in Bitey Face  Game

2:  The instigator must crouch in readiness with ears lowered a little and an eager (killing) look in eye.

2:  The Victim challenger accepts by trotting innocently near to where oppressor opponent is waiting with said killing look on face.

3:  As victim er challenger approaches, opponent springs into action with full bighty face on and pounces on said dog.

4:  Both dogs then run madly around with bighty faces on, rolling each other, chasing each other and generally being wild young things.

5:  The winner is dog who decides he has had enough of rough and trots off to sniff interesting smell, thereby distracting oponent who can’t resist sniffing too.

It is a great game and we hopes you understand that no dogs were hurt in the making of this posting.

Thank you for stopping by

Hector

This is a good game here in Crete too between my housemate Daffy and me (little Taz). We have another game which we play in the olive grove. I am little Taz and become the defender of the path. Daffy is the invader and rushes through the trees and tries to cross the path to the other side. I run up and down the path and try to catch her and if I am clever I can catch her and then we do the bitey faces too. My hooman who takes us for the morning game has to be very careful because sometimes we come up behind him and trip him up! The only trouble is that at the moment it is very hot here so we can only play this game if he gets up early in the morning. We start at daybreak (about 5.30) by moving about and making a noise near the bedroom and sometimes it works.

      Hi Joy

Nice to hear from you. It must get hot for your dogs in Crete but 5.30 is a very early start, even for we doggies!

We are Bitey Face devotees and play by the same rules EXCEPT, sometimes that going off for a sniff is just a ploy to get your opponent of guard. Then it starts again!

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

We’re glad Bonny is back to playing.

Hector I love your bitey face game and rules…sometimes when mom puts the flashy box in my face one too many times I play slappy face with her….but she laughs at me so obviously I’m not vicious enough. Next time I’ll surprise her with bite face. MOL
Happy early Saturday morning to you all,
Doomsday is near the dreaded vet appt.
    Hugs Madi
