Monday’s Business

Posted in Derby,Dogs,Hector's Diary,Scotti Dog Blog,Scottish Terriers by scottishdogs on August 16, 2010

Oh dear, today has been terribly stressful. Monday is the day when the bin men come and steal our rubbish.  I don’t think it helps that mum puts the wheelie bins out front every Sunday night -she never learns.  Naturally this has me vexed and I undertake  important duty of warning neighbours the thieves are here.  Bonny’s no use, she welcomes them with waggles and wiggles rolling on her back – they think she is sweet!!

Keep off our rubbish!

But I’m on to them.  Oh yes indeedy!  Now all I need to do is work out how to get off  ‘the chain of shame’.

Hector those same men will be invading my yard tomorrow….Dad rolls our bins to the curb too BUTT the truck makes lots of noise. It has these metal arms that come down, grab our bins picks them up turns them upside down dumps the contents then throws them back to the ground.
Very very loud. They have been doing our house trash like this for many years. In July our neighborhood became one of 2 or 3 in our city to participate in the pilot program for recycling to be done this way. Both our bins are 90 gallons and HUGE!!!

    Hugs Madi

Being stuck on the “Chain of Shame” sucks. Mom puts me on it when I gets sassy and takes my time getting back to hers after she call for me…seems to be happening a lot lately. 😉

  5. You will have to find some of that spray “stuff” so they don’t come around for your bins 🙂 x x x

  6. Yep, them peoples be coming to my house tomorrow too and I don’t likes it when they takes my things either and then we All sings to ’em. WE would be me, brudder, and sissy. Course, we like to tell peoples off just for walking on our sidewalk too.
Poor Bonny, her just a nice girl and don’t want to cause any problems.

You tell ’em, Hector! Thursday morning is our day, but the truck is sooooo huge, we sort of ignore it. We don’t see the people. But then there’s a guy who comes around to clean the bins–if you hire him. We always tell him to go away AND the milko, and the kids, other animals…….pretty much everyone. It’s OUR street.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

I KNOW! The very same thing happens at our house! Every week! Gosh, my pawrents are pretty smart and usually real easy to train but this pawticular thing just seems impossible. I wonder if there’s some sort of group intervention we could stage?

    Wiggles & Wags,
