Hector – Himself

Yo, Hector here. I am nearly eighteen months old and enjoy life very much. I am an active young man who wants to explore the world and enjoy people tremendously. My breeder lives in Loughbrough which is where Clare, the other human (who does not like dogs!) went to university. We live in Allenton which is on the outskirts of Derby and is an urban area.

I like the following:

  • Mum
  • John
  • Toys
  • Pulling stuffing from toys
  • Toys that squeak
  • Barbeques
  • People
  • Children
  • Sunshine
  • Snow
  • Rain
  • Balls
  • Mum cutting the grass
  • John throwing balls
  • Mum throwing balls
  • Anyone who will throw a ball
  • Walks
  • Exploration
  • Cookie Mudpuddle and Maddie Whiplash
  • Jeremy Clarkson
  • Rolling around in bad smells
  • Sitting on the back of the sofa so I can see what is going on outside
  • Playing with other dogs

I dislike the following:

  • Being Bathed
  • Being brushed
  • Not going for a walk
  • Mum going out and leaving me with Bonny
  • Bonny
  • Margaret the CAT!
  • Foxes coming into our garden!
  • Smelling nice

My Best attributes are:

  • Friendliness
  • Courage
  • Persistance
  • Fairly good at recall
  • I have a skirt! (short)
  • I can climb upstairs

My greatest worries are:

  • Mum discovering it is me who eats the post
  • Mum discovering it is me who empties the lounge litter bin
  • Mum running a bath
  • My first book being rejected
  • Missing Top Gear
  • Not being on hand when mum or Bonny need Supervision!

Just found your site and enjoy your dog tales and pics. My Scottie, Button is 7 and probably my last dog to own. She is so special to me and the kiddies I watch each. Been raised with toddlers and babies since 6 weeks old. We’ve taught her to come at F-O-F which means food on floor. And there is always cereal, chips and crumbs at meal time. Just love her aloof attitude and seeing her profile as her bounds across the yard makes me smile. Never tire of just looking at her. And what a great lapful to keep you warm while watching sports or movies on TV. Scotties rule.
